Japan 1914-1915 War Medal. Blackened bronze medal with original ribbon with hook and eye. Very heavily worn condition medal and ribbon. Additional Notes: The WW1 War Medal is a blackened bronze medal with swivel suspension with bar inscribed “ju-gun-ki-sho” (War Medal). This medal was conferred upon military personnel in recognition of the Japanese capture of the Germans at Tsing-Tao and the German Pacific Islands from 1914 to 1915. The obverse suspension bar features Japanese characters. The reverse Japanese characters translate to “Taisho 3rd-4th Years War”. See Additional Information for shipping dimensions.
