United States Air Force Base small coffee tray. Engraved on tray to: Newcomer’s Coffee, J.C.A.F.B., Nov 59 (James Connally Air Force Base). Marker marked on bottom of tray: Chippendale International Silver Company 6342. Size approximately 11 inches x 9 inches. Worn condition. Additional Notes: James Connally Air Force Base, located near Waco, Texas, has a rich history. It was originally established as Waco Army Airfield in 1942 during WW2. The base was a key training site for pilots and navigators. In 1948, it was renamed Connally Air Force Base in honor of Colonel James T. Connally, a Waco native who was killed in action during WW2. The base played a significant role during the Cold War, providing advanced training for various Air Force personnel.
