Additional Notes: The document titled “Military Improvisations During the Russian Campaign”, originally published as Department of the Army Pamphlet No. 20-201 in August 1951. It was later reprinted as CMH Pub 104-1-1 by the U.S. Army Center of Military History. The purpose was a historical study prepared for the U.S. Army’s Historical Division by former German generals and staff officers. The focus was a Tactical, logistical, and organizational improvisations made by the German Army during its campaign on the Eastern Front in WW2.
