Becker BK2 Camp Survival Knife The “Campanion” is a full tang heavy duty field utility knife suited for a number of camping, hunting, and in the field chores. The knife features an overall length of 10 1/2″ with a straight edge 5.25″ blade constructed of 1095 Cro-Van steel, flat ground providing a sharp cutting edge and better edge retention. The thick blade has a HRC hardness rating of 56-58 allows for prying, splitting kindling, or slicing. The unique drop point blade is also handy when field dressing or skinning wild game. The scales which are constructed of smooth Ultramid are designed for comfort as well as control during use and have a wrist lanyard hole. The Campanion 2nd generation features the extended pommel which can be used to pound with such items such as tent pegs, shatter glass, or to be used in a self-defense mode. This knife is made exclusively in Olean, New York U.S.A. and proudly etched with the BKT / KA-BAR brand name. The knife also comes with a KA-BAR / black hard shell Molle compatible plastic sheath constructed to be resistant to salt water and provides a hard surface which protects the knife during use in rough terrains. This model is also available in the new BK-22 model with the heavy-duty Polyester sheath with front cargo pocket with Velcro closure, and riveted leg lashing holes.
