Framed “Pappy’s Black Sheep” Print Signed. VMF-214. Copyright 1977. Signed and dedicated on bottom corner. Size approximately 25 1/2 inches x 18 1/2 inches. Worn condition.   Additional Notes: United States Marine Fighter Attack Squadron 214 (VMFA-214), also known as the “Black Sheep,” is a United States Marine Corps fighter attack squadron. The squadron is currently based at Marine Corps Air Station Yuma, Arizona, and flies the F-35B Lightning.  VMFA-214 has a rich history dating back to WW2 when it was originally formed as VMF-214. The squadron gained fame under the command of Major Gregory “Pappy” Boyington, whose exploits inspired the 1970s TV show “Baa Baa Black Sheep”.
