A witch in disguise, taking on the shape of a hare is common in folk belief, especially in tales rooting in Britain and Scandinavia. The observant but equally curious looking animal is surrounded by various plants, all which are in some form linked to witchcraft for their poisonous or hallucinogenic properties: Datura, Belladonna, Opium Poppy and a Fly Agaric.
